When I Woke I Was Dreaming Wren Bates

I was born into and raised one of Jehovah's Witnesses until I left the organization and my eleven year marriage at the age of thirty. Everything stifled me and never felt right. Upon leaving the JW organization I came out as queer and "woo woo" and never looked back. Poet, writer, dreamer, muse, painter, barefoot hiker, traveler, hedonist, the list is far too long. Time alone is essential for my mind to be creative so I often disappear for a little bit to recharge and push through any writer's/artist's blocks that come around. At this point in my life all the important elements are spinning together to form such a fascinating tapestry of decadent moments in nature, word magic, and wanton adventure, and I relish them all. I'm still learning everything I can.
