Fear is that unpleasant feeling inside us brought on by the perception of danger. It does not seem to matter if the danger is real or just imagined in our mind. Sometimes fear makes us unable to function even when we love something dearly. Although the grandmother grew up back in the 1960s when life was simple, compared with the electronic filled lifestyle we have today, her wisdom had an effect on her youngest grandson in 2013. By sharing her experiences and fear of her own pony more than fifty years ago, she encouraged him to overcome his fear.
