This story, in the genre of historical fiction, will show you my 'East Los'. It was a place full of fun, adventure, and many good people. Ready for a change after high school, I turned my world upside down and went to college up north in redwood country, where a full-blooded Hoopa Indian gave me an eye-opening introduction to his world. Then, to avoid the draft, I became a Peace Corps Volunteer, and got snarled up in the war in El Salvador.
