The Chanté Trilogy is a series of books that will detail Chanté's journey through the most terrifying, but exuberant time in a person's life: young adulthood. You remember yours, right? The time where you set out on your own, trusted your instincts and acted without thought of consequence... And if you haven't reached young adulthood, then this series will either be full of lessons you can learn from or pure entertainment. In Multiple Men, Multiple Misfortunes (Book I), the reader is enthralled by salacious encounters, duplicity and the ferocious pull of drama. Chanté is an intelligent, narcissistic, twenty-year-old, college student who lives vivaciously for sex, love and acceptance. When she is confronted with a life altering event that doesn't quite seem to stop her in her tracks, she continues to be relentless in her pursuit of her idea of unconditional, reciprocated love. In The Birthing Place (Book II), Chanté is forced to deal with the weight of secrets that she kept in Book I. The result of her honesty could leave her with absolutely nothing in the end; all while still being a full-time student, dealing with a pregnancy, alone. The reader is taken on the many twists and turns that follow Chanté as she tries to salvage an already-toxic situation. In Controlled Controversy (Book III), Chanté concerns herself with raising and rearing her newborn child; the only challenge is finding a way to parent with the father after he makes a decision that requires her to prepare for single-motherhood.
