Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37 (NIV) This command and charge displays the correct placement of where our affections should be pointed. If all of you is filled with the love of God, it makes it nearly impossible to mishandle your neighbor or yourself. Truthfully speaking, in the past I mishandled a lot of people, places, and things all because I mishandled my devotion. I took for granted the opportunity of pressing into His presence and treated God like a casual acquaintance. I didn't put Him first. I whispered rush prayers and went about my day and even in that God still covered me. God wants and desires communion with us. He is so deserving. Sacred... Moments with Him is a journey of morning meditation and devotion with God. It's a journey of reading His word and waiting on Him with great expectation. It's a journey of listening, to hear His heart and the next set of instructions. It's a journey of pressing into His presence because you desire more of His love and fellowship. The first of a thing governs the rest of a thing. Take this journey... Take this opportunity... Re-engage your devotion. There is such a release of grace and lifting of heaviness in the surrender of God. Lean in closer, Daddy is speaking. Sacred Moments... with Him
