New Orleans can only be described as breathtaking as the background for Adam Lyon, a Bywater high school senior in A Boy from Piety. His new situation forces drastic life choices (some good, some bad) involving himself, friends, and family. Adam's conflict involving Cherie, a party girl, he believes he loves, and Veronica, a well-connected girl with so much to offer Adam only sees as a friend offers different direction in his life quest. Travel with Adam Lyon on the streets of New Orleans in his new world often reads like a comedy and sometimes as a tragedy.
