Her trials. Her tribulations. She takes the reader through the journey of her life, and what ultimately led her to feel the need to put on so much makeup to cover the pain. To cover the disappointment. To cover the reality. In "No MakeUp", Charletta finally decides to take the mask of herself off, and share the realities that can sometimes be life. Doing so has led her to freedom and a life transformed. Charletta wants the same for you. She hopes that each and every person who reads this story is inspired to embrace their genuine selves. Their natural selves. What others may even consider to be their dirty, and unworthy selves. By the end of the book, it is Charletta's hope that you have released yourself from the bias of societies standards, and embraced your true self. The you that holds the testimony someone else needs to hear. Charletta is the proud mother of 7, and is the founder of a non profit: Cover My Sisters. Having been through so much in life, she knew that her story had to be told. She wrote No MakeUp, her debut book, as a means to encourage other women to share their testimonies, and embrace their truth. While she is working on another book project "Married Filing Single", she is working diligently with her non-profit to provide resources and shelters to domestic violence victims.
