Most of us will spend our lives lost, confused and frustrated at this crazy modern world. But this is not acceptable in our society. It's not okay for a woman or anyone for that matter, to turn around and just throw their arms up and ask why we do some of the stupid things we do. Somehow we have developed a culture where it is not ok to be failing as an adult. We have identified the progression to adulthood as a marker of success and not a point of personal development. Why is it unacceptable to not know what you are doing? It's not as if we have a guide book that tells us exactly how to adult. We don't have a set of rules that tells us which part of life is next. Well I'm here for your dose of reality. My reality. A reality which goes Step 2, oops forgot Step 1 and When did my thighs get so big? Reality like this book, does not work chronologically. There is no set of rules and order. The world just doesn't read like a book. You just live your life as best you can and then you pass on. For so many of us we hit adulthood and suddenly life is as if we were Atlas holding the world upon our shoulders but not quite knowing what to do with it. If we keep holding it we will be crushed but if we put it down it might roll away out of control. I know my shoulders are killing me and I've come to learn that dropping the world (with all it's expectations) and kicking it down the nearest hill is the best way to deal with things. Come with me as we journey through the murky waters of our worlds expectations. Resurfacing in our own place of personal balance and acceptance.
