The stories I am about to share with you are shocking. Maybe you were at the grocery store when everyone was in a panic, buying cartloads full of product. But I saw the aftermath. I saw the pain and suffering that happened to those who were late to the apocalypse. My purpose for writing this book is to explain, hopefully in a somewhat amusing way, what happens when people panic. The stories in this book are true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent and the guilty. Working in the grocery industry, I've had a front row seat on this COVID-19 crisis from the time it began in our state. When our governor said we should work from home, I got sent out of the corporate headquarters, where I was already social distancing from the comfort of my own office. Suddenly, there was panic in the community and our company needed all of us in the stores, where I started rubbing shoulders with thousands of people a day.
