Vivian Pickles is a typical little girl; she likes to bake cookies and catch firebugs and ride her purple bicycle. But what she loves most of all is her Grandfather's book of stories about Presidents, Inventors, and Kings and Queens! She wants so badly to meet these famous people but can't find a Time Machine - so she makes one! Her first journey is to the year 1819 where she meets a tall boy with a tall hat; the future 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Together they explore the topic of kindness and equality and a glimpse into life during the early 1800s.
