Big God! Bold Design is a spiritual primer for followers of Jesus. Our perspective for our Christian adventure begins from where God does. "In the beginning God...." Before time, God was a spiritual Community, enjoying life and mutual love within the Family-of-Three, Father, Son and Spirit. Beginning with the relational, Jesus' incarnation and a high view of redeemed and restored humanity is a perspective large enough to give meaning to the incomparably great price Jesus paid to invite us into relationship into His Family-of-Three. And it blows our mental circuits! Big God! Bold Design is laid out simply as a TRILOGY, yet is not simplistic. All three books of this TRILOGY are integrally connected, incomplete without the other two. This is Book Two. Book One lays out the sure foundation, regaining perspective of why and how God designed us so we can align with His heart. Book Two is God's answer to the horrific disaster of the Fall of humanity in Genesis 3. Book Three is the practical outworkings of this as we partner with our Team-of-Three to do our God-Assignments on His adventure. I'm acutely aware of the incompleteness of what I have written. But I no longer worry that if I could find the right words, I would instantly convince people. I no longer expect these changes to be embraced quickly, perhaps not even in my lifetime. And certainly not without a lot of wrestling. Old habits die hard. What I write reflects the yearning of my heart generated by many conversations with our Community-God, Father, Son and Spirit, and with the community of God's people. This book reveals what I currently understand Scripture to support and/or promise, even if I'm still on that learning curve. I also know that my words cannot change anyone. So, I'm adding my prayers that God's favor and presence will infuse each page, turning mere words into spiritual life-change through your hard work coupled with the Spirit's ministry.
