Life was starting off nicely with envisioned glorious trajectories when the coups started in Nigeria. The young Godwin Ikechukwu Meniru had to run back East with his family, seeking protection amongst his Igbo brethren; but that did not protect him and everyone else from the war that followed. He reckons he has been running ever since, with life spent in England, Southeast Asia and now in the United States of America. He catalogues these life influences using a poetic format that does not obscure the details of a dawning awareness of life, traumatic experiences, adventure, healing and progress to self actualization.
