This couldn't be happening. Why me, huh? Why did I have to lay here like an invalid and allow the rest of the people in this world go on about their business? Was there really any justice in this world or was I just another sad case in a world full of train wrecks? I did everything right. I helped the sick. I strengthened the weak. I comforted the timid. What did I get out of it? Nothing, but slurred speech and a lifetime worth of work ahead of me. A short story about harnessing bravery in the midst of tragedy.
