"Dear Children," is a series of letters written by a widower to his three grown children. It is the author's way of Illustrating his past without apologizing for it, and it is his attempt to explain how the four of them got to where they are in the present. It is a roadmap that shows how one ordinary person overcame many life challenges and debilitating obsessions by using spiritual means. The book was written from his desire to share his life experiences and spiritual lessons learned, so that their relationships could be strengthened, his children could learn from his positive and negative examples, and others suffering from similar obsessions and life challenges could find hope and a way out. The book was written from the perspective of "Whatever blesses one blesses all," "Everyone's journey is different, but they're all the same," and that human life is one continuously long lesson in patience and the eternal battle between selflessness and selfishness.
