My Mom Taught Me is a cool book about lessons learned and then re-enacted by the main character and hopefully by every child who will read this short story. Kindness, respect, and helping one another are lessons that still need to be taught to adults in the society we live in today. In this story, "mom" is credited with teaching her son different character-building lessons on the way to and from school. She teaches them by word of mouth and by her actions. What she does in front of her son inspires him to do something along the same lines. My Mom Taught Me is a good story to have in the home and in the classroom with cool pictures to accompany the story. Read out Loud
