The trend of Globalization has brought with it an increasing number of multinational corporations, making a study of the problems associated with such corporations a matter of great topical interest and relevance in the current context. Larger multinational corporations are generally assumed to be immune to inefficiencies, particularly in the area of financial management. This was perhaps true even about a decade back when the few multinational corporations could spread their wings across the globe only on the basis of their higher efficiency and better product or service offerings.
