Deep in the woods there is a cottage that is hidden so well from the outside world. Living in the cottage is a man and woman named Edward and Mable. They are evil and they take children from their families and try to make them their own. For the kids taken, there are rules that they must follow and if they don't, they are punished. If the children disobey them more than ten times, then Mable and Edward would consider them an unruly child and they would no longer want them. They will kill them and toss them into an old dried up well. This book will take you through the day-by day nightmares of two children named, Ruby and Billy. You will find out if they escape from the evil clutches of Mable and Edward, or if they get tossed into the well making it their final resting place.
