This is a Genealogy book about the "Young Family" from the origin countries in Europe (Wales, Prussia & Switzerland) to Scranton, PA and beyond. It mainly covers the period from 1850's when the majority of the ancestors immigrated to the USA for work in the coal mines & steel mills, although some genealogical lines were traced to the 1600's. Biographies of each ancestor are provided which contain the pertinent birth, death & marriage information as well as further family & anecdotal information. The ancestral families are organized into the national groups as Paternal & Maternal Welch, Prussian & Swiss family histories. The book provides a novel approach for describing Family History and would be of use to genealogists & historians especially interested in the nationalities covered in the treatise.
