Popular Christianity has lost sight of its roots and the teaching of its founders. This book returns to those roots and those teachings through the eyes of the Scriptures themselves. Under the influence of the Greeks, and later the Romans, the Church sought more and more to distance itself from its Jewish roots and the teachings of its founder, the Messiah himself. The modern Church speaks of three Gods-in-one, the Scriptures speak of One God only. The modern Church speaks of the God-man Messiah, the Scriptures know the man only. "Born again" Christians speak of being so while in the flesh, the Scriptures speak of being born again into new spiritual bodies at Messiah's return. Baptists preach baptism in water, the Scriptures preach baptism in the spirit. The Gospel of the Kingdom of God that Messiah preached has been replaced with a Gospel of Grace that ignores that Kingdom. What becomes of the dead, what does it mean to be dead? Does anyone ever really go to a hell of fire and pitchforks? Who is God? Who is Christ? The Scriptures answering all these questions are presented in full within the body of the text. Timothy James is the author of "The God That Time Forgot, Returning to the God of the Scriptures," "God's Hold Days and the Life, Death, and Return of the Messiah," and "The Power of Believing, Accessing the Power of God in Your Daily Life."
