What I Saw Before I Could See is a collection of poetry, stories, and testimonials about PTSD. About individual journeys of trauma, suffering, understanding and healing. This four-chapter collection is created by RTB (Remove The Blindfold) Collective - a group of young creatives in inner-city London. Their poems & stories feature in the collection, as well as testimonials from practitioners, survivors and experts. Each chapter serves a different purpose, with a single goal. This book challenges its readers to go through the process, the process of removing cultural and social blindfolds. The process of leaving behind bias, stigma and indifference. The process of exploring the terror and beauty that comes with truly understanding the pain of others. Truly seeing.
