SIR ROBERT RUSSELL is born of the House of Strensham in Worchester, the son of Sir Thomas Russell and his Lady Elizabeth. As the eldest son, the expectations are high; Robbie is a disappointment to his Father. Robbie is sent down from Oxford, disgracing his Noble Father and family. It's 1625, and Sir Thomas packs his son off to the Highlands of Scotland to either prove his worth or die trying. In the next few years, the rising strife between Parliament and the Catholic King Charles would divide a nation. Sir Thomas, a devout Catholic, would walk the tight rope of politics as a Parliament member. While Robbie, serving as an officer of the Black Watch Regiment, breathes free in a new life, giving himself over to a Scottish Lassie, and is appropriated into the Clans Hannay & Gordon. The inevitable conflict of the English Civil War will spill over into Scotland. Robbie will be faced with Loyalty to a Catholic King, a Parliament, or his Love. Robbie demonstrates to all his love of the Highlands and for the Scottish People. The Council of Clans would dub him of Son of Scotland, Mac Onórach Nah Alban.
