The world floats, tore into a fragment of it's whole, through the Milky Way. Inside the hull is the great city of Tutum Patria, a paradise of all the cultures and people of the Earth before it shattered, melded into a harmonic system of science, video games and art. That is, underground at least. Above the great city, is Humanity's Forest. The last green space on the surface, a surface held together by a machine that replaced the damaged core some 600 years ago. In Humanity's Forest live the clones of Dr. Jerald Arkin Welsh and Dr. Alana Yuler. The oldest living scientists of the human race, the only two humans who come to the surface. Outside of the forest is the reason the world is broken, the Drones, a race evolved from a scientist's experiments in the past made in hopes of transferring his own mind into Life Model Drones, those once made for working in dangerous areas, in hopes to use them as weapons to bring down what he believed was the corrupt empires of the world. That eventual war cracked the world and with it fell the old world of man, and Drones that were. Yet, even if most was lost, humanity has managed to survive and new Drones have returned, locked out of the forest and the city due to a shield that encircles it from sky to deep molten core. These Drones are going to burn up when the planet eventually passes close enough to a nearing star. So, the Drone Mother, an evolved and mysterious leader that arose from the ashes after the crack of the Earth, sends biological evolutions of her Drone people as insurgents to steal the technology to make her own shield, or break the shield down so her Drones can invade and claim the safety of Tutum Patria for their own. Clones, Drones, Dr. Jerald and Dr. Alana battle in a silent war above ground in a fight for the future of the Earth, of their people and in most of their cases, for proof they have a soul.
