This book will take you on our journey to start a family. For so many women and men, pregnancy is a time of excitement and joy. Throughout these pages, I will share with you our losses, my health complications, rare conditions, and one scary high-risk pregnancy. I will share with you the scriptures that gave me hope! There was a beautiful ending to our story, with the birth of our beautiful baby boy. I hope by sharing my experiences, I can shed light on a dark and often swept under-the rug topic. I have been blessed to finally conceive a child, but I know that there are so many other families that are still praying for their miracles. I stand with you and hope the words on these pages give you hope and a sense of not being alone. These experiences can feel isolating and can lead you down a path of depression. I know for me, there were days I felt like we should just stop trying. Those were the worst days. The days when hope seemed non-existent. Through faith, family, and the strongest desire to have a child, we kept trying. Wherever you are on this journey, give yourself grace. It is not easy to keep going! My prayer is that my words offer comfort, peace, and most importantly, hope!
