When Jacques Duvall is once again summoned to MI6 Headquarters, he is informed that his fellow Agent 003 and close friend, Alex Penrose, has been murdered in Hong Kong. He teams up with FSB agent Illya Volkov to locate and sanction the assassin known as The Dragon. What ensues is a complicated investigation with intelligence assistance from some very unlikely sources. During their mission of retaliation, Jacques and Illya encounter unexpected life-threatening situations which prompt Jacques to consider retirement. After many years in MI6, he wants to enjoy a more settled existence with his beloved fiancée Françoise back in Paris. However, upon returning after this latest assignment, circumstances await that will change his life forever.
