There will never be anything that stands in the way of the United States of America. Whenever there's trouble the G. I. Joes will always be there. In 1988 several members of the Joes will be challenged on the battlefield once again but this time the circumstances weigh down their possibilities to come out victorious. First Sergeant Duke finds himself cutting his vacation short after learning of a possible attack on Area-51. The threat is unknown, and their plans are a mystery. General Hawk calls upon Duke and gathers a team of Joes before suiting up for their mission. After learning the identity of one of the hostiles in Area-51, General Hawk sends his men to Nevada to rescue nearly one hundred soldiers from execution. Duke, Snake-Eyes, Roadblock, and Mainframe have orders to rendezvous with their contact before infiltrating the testing site to rescue the hostages. When their orders make a sudden change, it causes them to be captured in the process. After a second team of Joes are alerted for their mission, the true identities of the enemy are finally revealed. Major Bludd, Firefly, and others continue searching Area-51 hoping to retrieve something they needed to help them change the world. While outnumbering the Joes and being one step ahead of them, Major Bludd has all the time he needs to obtain his prize before escaping. The Joes race against the clock but they now know the threat that waits for their arrival. And knowing is half the battle.
