This handbook is not about treatment. Instead, it is about how you handle an individual in real-life as a practitioner or the layperson. Remaining professional while encountering persons with different diagnoses can be a challenge to even the most educated and well-versed expert. I design this handbook to assist you, the professional or layperson, with real-life applications of real-life diagnoses not found in the Diagnostic Statistical Manual (DSM) of Mental Disorders. Although the diagnoses in this handbook are not found in the DSM, they are real-life diagnoses. I do not list the diagnoses in any particular order. This handbook will present some more commonly found diagnoses that have not yet made their way into the DSM. Yet, symptomology dictates the need for effective ways to address them. As a disclaimer, the real-life diagnoses in this handbook are exclusively based upon the author's creativity and sense of humor about people in general. If you think any particular diagnosis is about you, it is purely coincidental.
