It is 1969 and Sharon arrives from a USO tour in Vietnam with her 3 teenaged bandmates. Just like a 16 year old of any era she feels like she has already lived a lifetime yet ponders what fate has in store for her. Will there be romance with the soldier she met in Nam that summer? Her band had relative success in the Midwest, where she grew up and where they mostly played, but was the enthusiastic appreciation from an audience composed of military personnel from all around the states be enough to make true fans? Will the exposure of their talents via the airwaves of the Armed Forces Vietnam Network that lead to a meeting with a television program executive make them genuine rock stars? She has a whole life to live and what happens in 1969 will determine how the rest of it will play out.
