Understanding Lordship requires an innate vulnerability to acknowledge levels of spiritual authority and spiritual government assigned to our lives. Understanding God to be The Lord of my life, allow s me to understand He's got me COVERED.... This is not simply a term of endearment or metaphorically gratuitous but an actual revelation and understanding of God's power and authority over our lives. God hovers over our being as a covering of protection and prevention and raises up other men and women, sons anddaughters in His likeness, to replicate His covering. Be it from a religious platform, a marital platform, a parental platform, or a national platform, God has graciously assigned men and women to be and to become "coverings" for the protection of His signs miracles and wonders (us). Every human living being will at some point and time either be covered or become the covering; protecting purpose and destiny through a divine cultivation and matriculation process designed for purpose to begat destiny. God in His all-knowing, omniscient wisdom, preordained systems of spiritual hierarchy to ensure the flawless tapestry of maturation for those requiring covering until they become covers themselves; a shield to prevent the infiltration of any hazards capable of infecting the grooming process of those being covered while also preventing the pre-mature exit of those in their grooming process. But what happens when your covering has holes in it?"When Your Covering Is Holey", is a provocation for leaders on any platform of influence to become responsibly cognizant of their position as a Covering for God's people. Also, this read will explain how when we, as leaders (coverings), partner with our unaddressed issues of life, there is a wearing and tearing in our ability to cover until we become holes, allowing illegal entry contaminating those we have been positioned to cover and/or allowing the premature exit (release) of those that are yet capable of the warfare that awaits them. This read will dictate and demonstrate what I believe is an explanation of why the "Body" of Christ, our marriages, our families, and our nation, looks holey instead of HOLY.
