When people look at me, assumptions are automatically formed- "How in the world did she end up with four kids by four different men?" Let me clarify. That was never a part of my plans either. However, it's my reality, and my children- Rihanna, Jordan, Kingston, and Jazell- are my backbones; they are my reason for existing. They saved my life. Each day that I look at them, I am inspired to work like there is no tomorrow to provide a better life than the one I lived. I know there are women like me- they did not expect to be a single mother, but it unexpectedly became their reality. It is my prayer that my story is an inspiration and sparks fumes of hope. Being a single mom is not the end of the world. In fact, it is the beginning of the world.
