Teach a child in the way she should go. Kevin took this admonition to heart as he undertook the loving task of sharing with his granddaughter episodic memories of his and her lives mixed with touches of science and history. From the day she was born Kevin decided to write letters to Ivy each month, most of them on the day of the month on which she was born. This book is a compilation of the first eight years' worth of letters Kevin wrote to Ivy. Ivy is a child with special needs and may not ever be able to read his letters. Nevertheless, Kevin felt it important to share in a way that could provide short stories in the context of real life and how it relates to growth and development in one's faith in God. The central message to Ivy or others is to seek ways to have a strong faith and unwavering trust in God as one navigates the roads of life that lie before her.
