Chasedi M. Peoples was an ambitious woman living life. She had goals, dreams, and plans much like most of us, but God had a greater plan for her. She had created a life for herself, a life she thought she wanted. To discover who she truly was, she had to face a process of valleys and wilderness. Through this journey, she rediscovered God. The One she had given her life to decades before showed up in her life and turned it upside down. The faith she left behind all those years before, she had to pick back up to find her true identity. Through many losses, heartaches, and mistakes she rose to the occasion with God right by her side. Chasedi was made to look within when life dealt her what she felt to be an undeserving hand. She gave up the life she thought she needed and courageously received the life that was ordained for her. She had the choice to rise above it or sink under the pressure; Chasedi chose to rise. She learned to appreciate her experiences, for they made her who she is. She not only discovered the life God chose but also her value and worth. She was given beauty for her ashes by her Savior, Jesus Christ.
