Zoe has graduated from one of the best colleges in the country, served a mission, and completed a Ph. D. in mathematics. Yet she regrets that she isn't married, and fears that she will not find a Latter-day Saint husband where she is working in central New York. When she meets Eli, she believes he may be the man. Then Logan, whom she had not seen for ten years, professes his love for her. She had a terrible crush on him in high school, and still has feelings for him. But he left the Church; whereas Eli is committed to the gospel, has served a mission, and is uncommonly amiable.
