The wind was picking up and the clouds that had chased Jake, Billy, Issy, and Amy across the Caribbean were darkening.

Jake grabbed hold of the bags and checked the three ancient rum bottles with their faded maps on the labels were still there. It felt like a lifetime ago that Billy and Jake had stumbled upon them beneath the Trow pub he worked in back home, famous for the pirates who'd drunk there all those years ago.

They'd suspected the maps would lead to treasure, and together they'd set off on an adventure to track it down. Only the closer they'd gotten-the more dangerous their expedition had become.

Jake had thought it couldn't get any worse than coming face to face with the sinister figure who'd followed them across Barbados and to Antigua, but the encounter had only confirmed their worst fears. He had been hunting them-and he wasn't the only one.

There was something else out there too. Something far more terrifying that stalked the swirling rainforests and desolate beaches of a secret archipelago no one even knew existed, something dark, and unearthly, that no one was ever meant to find.

And they were sailing straight for it.
