The Resolute Outsider: Overcoming odds ➨ Achieving ends
Elizabeth A Fagan
The author chronicles in essay form her life story growing up in a dysfunctional, working-class military family with socioeconomic, educational and health-related challenges she overcame to fulfil a life-long ambition to become a doctor.
This book aims to inspire, encourage and motivate others, especially students from disadvantaged backgrounds, to surmount obstacles to achieve life's goals. Lessons can be learned about swallowing pride and asking for help when the chips are down.
There are advantages to being a resolute outsider.
