Many books which helpfully clarify the controversy over the charismatic gifts have adopted a topical approach or used arguments from the perspective of biblical theology. Some have assessed the gifts from a historical point of view. It has long been perceived that a direct and systematic exposition of 1 Corinthians 12-14 will complement the books already published on the subject. This book examines the Charismatic claims on the spiritual gifts in the light of 1 Corinthians 12-14 and other related passages. It is directed to ordinary Christians, and not just to pastors and teachers.
