Leading, although one of the most written about topics, enough can never be said about it since change is constant and leading is about change, whether technological, social, physical, emotional, or spiritual. The position from which we lead varies, but this book will speak from the perspective of leading beside. Notwithstanding the other environments in which leading beside may be evident, the unique role a wife plays within the marriage context as she leads beside her husband, will be our focus.

So, how do we overcome feelings of inferiority, jealousy, or inadequacy when our husbands seem to be doing okay? How do we embrace what God has said about us so that we add value to our marriages? What sorts of behaviours, dispositions, and attitudes do we need to exhibit? How do we build them up, but not at the expense of ourselves? Are there strategies we can employ to lead beside successfully? These are some of the questions this book will seek to address. It will also share some thoughts to a special group of wives, the pastors' wives.

Leading Beside is a book for wives, soon-to-be wives, hope-to-be wives, and even wish-we-weren't wives, as God had designed it, one woman and one man married to each other. It will offer life-changing insights for ensuring that as wives we "banah" (Hebrew), we build our homes and not tear them down.
