I Am Miriam: Mother of the Messiah
Deanna Malespin
Based on the story of Mary (Miriam) and Joseph
The author, who lives in Israel, brings you this biblical fiction story of Miriam and Joseph to life.
Not much is written in the Bible between when she received the visitation from the angel to when she gives birth to the Messiah Jesus in Bethlehem. Thus this book helps fill in some of the gaps.
The story begins in the little town of Nazareth where a young soon to be bride receives destiny's call. However, little did she know that by saying yes, everything that she holds dear can be put in jeopardy.
The story encompasses the context of her everyday family life, the dynamics of the Biblical period, her romance with Joseph, life under Roman occupation, and life within a bustling community in the Galilee. Discover what it meant to be a betrothed young woman, suddenly caught in the situation of being with child before her marriage to the young esteemed carpenter in Nazareth. Will anyone believe her story?
