Cognitive Impairment Caused by Chemotherapy Lorena Vazquez Bravo

This study aims to evaluate some of the recent research that provides a more detailed explanation of cognitive impairment as a side effect caused by chemotherapy used in breast cancer. This type of cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women worldwide and therefore there are multiple studies evaluating the side effects that women suffer from. This side effect in many cases is not so evident but it impacts in different ways and intensity the emotional aspects and with the consequences that it entails in interpersonal relationships and self-esteem. On the other hand, the affected cognitive functions which are essential for the processing of learning, memory and perception are also analyzed.
