The book provides an extensive information about the labour immigration to the Valley of Kashmir from other Indian states. It looks at the various socio-economic aspects of migrants in the Valley. It also focusses on the issues of Kashmir Conflict and its impact on the labour immigrants. The reasons behind this movement and the survival strategies of the migrants. It is the first of its kind as using Census figures and primary survey and for the whole Valley which is mainly not available in the existing literature. The book will be beneficial and a base to further research on labour migration in Kashmir.
