Perovskite-type ceramic materials particularly transition metal oxide (TMO) are of a wide range of application in the recent year for their many captivating fundamental properties. A perovskite structure similar to that of the mineral perovskite calcium titanate (CaTiO3) has also useful properties like ferroelectricity and piezoelectricity which is instrumental for comprehensive change in daily life. The new ceramic material is the source of many avenues for application in production technology. For this, the factors influencing the interest are the availability of materials and their properties like dielectric, optical and piezoelectric properties. Apart from perovskites many double perovskites are synthesized and investigated for communication, information technology, aeronautics, military, and many other engineering and industrial applications in the last sixty years. The changing properties of double perovskites are strongly correlated with their structural variations accentuate many material scientists in recent years.
