The subethnos of Old Belief is a "preservative" in the preservation of original spiritual, religious and cultural values, traditions of the Russian nation, the guardian of the national heritage of the country. The author of this research analyzes the worldview and spiritual and cultural complex of the Old Believer phenomenon in the modern Russian society. On the basis of factual material (on the example of the Old Believer ethno-local community) the level of preservation of the Old Believer culture in an environment of isolation and the degree of transformation of this culture in the process of cooperation with other religious and cultural groups are analyzed, eschatological views of Old Believers are revealed and the historical and worldview significance of religious and ceremonial culture in the preservation of cultural and religious identity of the Old Believer subethnos is determined.
