The book is an analysis of role performance of women Village Panchayat Presidents in the Tamil Nadu region. Book designed into seven chapters. First chapter is about empirical study of women leadership and local governance. Objectives and methodology were presented in the second chapter. The third chapter deals with the socio-economic and political status of women leaders. Attitude, Skill and Knowledge of women leaders are discussed in the fourth chapter. Stakeholder analysis and role performance of village panchayat presidents were discussed in the fifth and sixth chapter respectively. The last chapter deals with the summary and conclusion Correlation between socio-economic status and role performance were presented.
