The study of Human Populations is an Introduction to the concept of population, what population is all about; the relationship between population and other disciplines; population and the environment and the beginning of the population as a field of study. It also discuses sources of population statistics, utilization of population statistics, and theory of population and Research methods in human population. Population composition, reproduction and fertility regulation are the subject matter of chapter six, while chapter seven deals with marriage and family life. Components of population, patterns and trends of world population by regions, population policy and programmes; and population and development are discussed in chapter eight, nine, ten and eleven respectively.
