Child streetism, as a social problem in Addis Ababa, has been recognized by the government since 1974. Then onwards, the magnitude of the problem continuously growing. Various interventions have been taken to address the problem of child streetism. The major actors involved in such interventions are governmental, non-governmental, faith based and community based organizations. In spite of all this, why does the prom of child streetism increase in its magnitude? What are the major approaches followed by these actors? Who is the responsible organ to monitor the well-functioning of interventions on the street children? Based on what policy framework? are some of the basic questions that are discussed in this book.
