Fresh water availability has become a major concern recent for the developing nations like many Asian and South Asian countries. Due to this emphasis is being given to scientific study of ground water exploration to ascertain groundwater recharge area, delineate new sites and maintaining the available resources at national as well as regional scale. Dr. Rao et. al. work on Hydrogeomorphlogy of an Allivial plain: A case study from India is an attempt to highlight the use of remote sending in ground water studies relating to geomorphology of alluvial plain where the problem of ground water is mainly concern with the contamination of under ground resources.
