Language assists people to express their ideas, like, dislikes, feelings, etc in all walks of life. In order to achieve this goal having at least reasonable command of ?communicative competence? (linguistics, discourse, sociolinguistics and strategic competences) is necessary. In many places at College level students are not at ease or hardly express their ideas with English speakers. They face difficulty in selecting the appropriate words and organizing what they want to communicate in a logical manner. Besides, their interaction through the medium of writing as well as reading and extracting meaning from written materials has its own problems. Different activities on macro and micro skills of language are included in this teaching material to assist the users. Hence, this book is believed to provide the students and teachers with necessary knowledge and skills to fill the gap of communication barrier in every day interaction.
