Statistical inference has two parts; estimation and testing of hypothesis. Here in this book, estimation is discussed and importance is given to point estimation. The properties of point estimators are discussed in detail. The commonly used methods of estimation are also discussed and in the last chapter, Bayesian estimation methods is discussed.
