The challenges and imperatives facing the post-colonial government in Cameroon are characterised by the shady delivery of services. Numerous challenges and opportunities for the development of public services exist and need to be addressed in the way in which the Cameroon government functions. Public service reforms are in many countries agenda since the wind of democracy blew across the world in the 1990,s. A new paradigm brought a number of reforms during this period to stimulate the efficiency and customer orientation of public service. This is characterised by management of outputs in order to achieve policy objectives and result in the most cost effective manner.
