Indian Muslims is the second largest religious minority community in the country. Instead their large share, they are the most backward community in the country as compare to other religious groups. Socio-economic conditions and political representation is an important indicator to measure the development level of any community. This book is based on the secondary data. The main objective of the study is to explore the socio-economic condition and political representation of Muslims of India in general and of West Bengal in particular. Though there is paucity of literature and data about this backward community, it is an attempt to gather the data from various sources and put together in a systematic fashion and analyzed.
