Water demand is increasing with a growth of irrigated agriculture, industries and population. Hence, the information on spatial and temporal availability of water would be helpful for the optimal utilization and sustainability of this resource. Seasonal and spatial pattern of water availability was computed based on the water balance to facilitate better management of available water resource. Water is among the most precious of natural resources, the indiscriminate and some times excessive use of ground water has led to questions regarding its sustainability. This book, therefore, provides a systematic way of investigating surface water and groundwater resources to suggest environmentally sound plan for optimum utilization of these resources. The methods of analysis utilized in the book would be helpful for water resources professionals, agriculturalists, hydrologist and environmentalist.
